Former Tottenham player Jamie O’Hara has expressed his opinion about some of the business Liverpool have done this summer.

The Reds’ summer transfer window has been full of excitement as the club has spent well over £200 million.

Even though the club’s owners, FSG, are known for their minimal spending habits, they have splurged large sums of cash to complete the signings.

Under sporting director Richard Hughes’ guidance, the Premier League champions have been navigating the transfer business.

The well-known transfers of Jeremie Frimpong, Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez have raised many eyebrows and the Merseyside club have also become the subject of envy for rivals.

What fans think about Liverpool star

The former Spurs man did not hold back from making comments about LFC’s new signing Frimpong.

Speaking to Grosvenor Sport, the 38-year-old said, “Jeremine Frimpong is another really good signing for Liverpool.

If you’re comparing him to Trent Alexander-Arnold, Frimpong is more athletic and will be able to get up and down the line for the whole game.

“That wasn’t Trent’s strength – we’ve seen in the Club World Cup that he’s struggling to do that in a Real Madrid shirt.”

O’Hara also spoke about Conor Bradley and his position at the Anfield club.

“I know that some fans have argued they’ve got Conor Bradley – who is a good player – but he’s not good enough to be a starting defender for Liverpool, let alone have the same effect as Trent.”

Finally, while speaking about ex-LFC backup goalie Caoimhin Kelleher, the Englishman said:

“Caoimhin Kelleher is a great signing for Brentford.

He’s a really good player; he’s too good to be Liverpool’s backup.

But, I will admit I was expecting Kelleher to sign for a top European club and be their starting goalkeeper.”
